Working on Mount Ararat, a group of Turkish and Chinese explorers stumbled upon what seems the remains of Noah's Ark.
At an altitude of 4000 metres on Mount Ararat, an snow-capped, dormant volcanic cone in Turkey, the group of Turkish and Chinese explorers discovered what they are almost certain the remains of Noahs Ark.
"It´s not 100 per cent that it is Noah´s Ark but we think it is 99.9 per cent that this is it," told Noah´s Ark Ministries International documentary film maker Yeung Wing-cheung press agency AFP.
They found a structure with wooden beams separated into a number of compartments. Carbon dating puts its age at 4,800 years, which match with the Biblical flood record. In this area, not a single settlement has been found above 3,500 metres.
Genesis
The Book of Genesis tells how God sends a great flood to destroy the earth because of man's wickedness and because the earth is corrupt. God tells Noah, the righteous man in his generation, to build a large vessel to save his family and a representation of the world's animals. 【已有很多网友发表了看法,点击参与讨论】【对英语不懂,点击提问】【英语论坛】【返回首页】
