Working out is frustrating for some people because it takes too long for them to see any results. Some give up when they see too little results at a much longer time. What we don't realize is that we can't just jump into any exercise that we want and expect great results. When you know your body type, it would be easier to pick the right exercise for you. That way, you get the best results. Here's how you can identify which type of body you have what exercises work best for it.
If you have a heavy set figure, it is most likely that you are an endomorph. An endomorph can gain weight easily and have a hard time losing it. Even an endomorph on a healthy diet has this problem. But watching what you eat should still be a priority. It is crucial to have a healthy diet that you follow consistently if you want your workout to work out. The good thing about this is that you reap more muscular rewards than with other. However, the results of your workout take a longer time to show. The important thing is to always set an attainable goal until you gradually pass that and you can set a new one. Cardio exercises and weight training work best for this body type.
If you have a skinny figure and you gain weight slowly and you lose it faster than you gain it, you are then an ectomorph. An ectomorph may be an advantage since they have leaner figures but it is harder for you to gain muscle mass. If you are an ectomorph and you want to gain some weight, the best thing to do would be to pack on some carbohydrates by eating meals 5 to 6 times a day and eating close to the afternoon and at nights. These are the times that are harder to burn calories. When working out, cardio exercise is also a good choice but if you want to maintain the weight that you gain, make sure to avoid overtraining and aerobic exercises. Weightlifting is an exercise suited for this type of body in order to put on some mass, if that's what you're going for.
The best body type would most probably be the one that gains the same weight they lose. This body type is known as a mesomorph. A mesomorph is the most ideal since it is an athletic figure, so to speak. It's easy for mesomorphs to get in the right shape and all they need really is dedication to getting enough exercise. You can generally eat freely but keeping healthy should always be a priority. The exercise for mesomorphs would usually include cardio exercises and light weight training.
Regardless of your body type, however, there are some things that are universal. It is important that you maintain a healthy diet, get enough exercise and also get lots of proper rest. Working with your body type just makes it that much easier to achieve and maintain your goals.
