Mainland travel representatives tour Taiwan
Dozens of representatives from travel agencies on the Chinese mainland are on a tour of Taiwan to see what to include on future itineraries. So far, they say they're very impressed by what Taiwan has to offer.
The tour group consists of representatives from 33 mainland travel agencies as well as officials from the Cross-Strait Tourism Exchange Association. The tour group has been busy inspecting the east coast of Taiwan, which they say boasts stunning scenery.
Tang Lijuan, mainland travel agent said "We have found many very attractive highlights, including cultural features and scenic views. We feel very good about what we've discovered."
While others have praised the island for its unique beauty.
Liu Di, travel agent said "Taiwan's natural scenery is very different from what you find on the mainland. Travel services there are also worth recommending. Their understanding of local culture, and standard of service are very impressive."
Head of the group, Fan Guishan, says he is also very impressed. He believes mainland tourists will be satisfied.
Fan Guishan, Deputy Secretary-General of Cross-strait Tourism Exchange Association said "I feel their resources have their own features, which can complement those on the mainland. And they have made full preparation for the arrival of mainland tourists. I think they have already met all necessary conditions to accommodate mainland tourists."
