Chinese FM to attend Mideast peace conference

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi will go to the US to attend the international Mideast peace conference to be held in Annapolis, Maryland next week.
The announcement was made by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao.
Liu says the meeting is attracting international attention, as the Palestinians and Israel discuss possible resolutions to their conflict. He says China will work with other countries to discuss how to promote the peace process.
