China´s legislature to revise 3 draft laws
China's legislature is set to conduct the first reading of three draft laws later this month, dealing with food safety, state assets, and social insurance.
During the upcoming session, lawmakers will also continue their review of draft laws on drugs, labor dispute mediation and arbitration, draft amendments to the laws on road transportation safety, science and technology progress, as well as prevention and control of water pollution.
In addition, they will go through a report submitted by the chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, which discusses the outcome of a public consultation on the Green Paper on Constitutional Development.
They will then decide whether to amend methods for electing the chief executive and for forming the Legislative Council in 2012.
