CCTV sports channel tunes in to Olympics since Jan 1, 2008

Starting on January 1st, China's main sports channel, CCTV 5, will dedicate itself completely to the Beijing Olympics. At a press conference on Friday, CCTV 5's executive director Jiang Heping presented a broadcasting plan on how the channel would cover the upcoming Games.

It includes pre-Olympic programs, coverage during the Games, as well as special follow-up programs after the event. Meanwhile, other CCTV channels and digital TV media will cooperate with CCTV 5 to meet the viewers' needs. At the end of the press conference, Jiang Heping and his guests officially launched the new Olympic channel together.
