Toy exports grow 20% in Jan-Oct 2007

China exported more than 7 billion US dollars worth of toys in the first ten months of 2007, up twenty percent from the same period the year before.

This is despite rising costs in raw materials and a cut in export rebates. Toy-makers also faced down a spate of recalls. But the ten-month period last year saw manufacturers return strongly to earlier export levels in European and North American markets, while growing rapidly in emerging markets.
