China, US hold 5th strategic dialogue
China and the US will hold their fifth round of strategic dialogue in Beijing next week.
China's Deputy Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo and US Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte will co-chair the meeting. The two sides will discuss major economic and political issues of common concern.
The dialogue mechanism was set in 2004 during talks between President Hu Jintao and US President George W. Bush.
