Volkswagen sees 2007 mainland & HK sales up 28%

Volkswagen's vehicle sales in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong surged 28 percent to over 910,000 units in 2007. The performance beat its target of 900,000 units.

The maker of Volkswagen and Audi brand cars says it aims to grow its vehicle sales in the region by 15 to 20 percent this year, in line with the expected growth of the market.
