China, US start 5th Strategic Dialogue

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has held talks with US Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte, who is in Beijing for another round of the Strategic Dialogue.

Premier Wen Jiabao met with Negroponte and his delegation shortly upon their arrival in Beijing late on Wednesday afternoon. The two sides exchanged views on a wide range of global and regional issues.

Negroponte is here to co-chair the 5th round of the China-U.S. strategic dialogue with Deputy Foreign Minister, Dai Bingguo, on Thursday and Friday.
