UN Chief urges respect for diversity

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has stressed the importance of instilling into the young a respect for diversity so as to prevent future tragedies like the Holocaust.

In his message on the International Day of Commemoration in memory of the Holocaust victims, Ban Ki-moon said it's not enough to remember, honor and grieve for the dead.

He is calling for efforts to foster in children a sense of responsibility, so that they can build a society that protects and promotes the rights of all citizens.
