Pork price to be stable during holidays

The Spring Festival is always a time for celebration and food. And many are concerned that pork prices will go up with the inevitable rises in demand. But the Ministry of Agriculture is reassuring the public that there's enough to go around, and prices are stable.

But officials are conceding slightly higher prices saying it's normal, considering that demand for pork does tend to go up during the Spring Festival. In fact, sales over the period account for as much as 30 percent of total figures for an entire year. But they also say that prices should stay stable, with pig stocks rising by 6.5 percent in December.
