One of the world's largest jewelry shows is underway at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Hong Kong International Jewelry Show is the third largest of its kind in the world. This year's show has attracted more exhibitors than ever.

Close to 23 hundred exhibitors from 46 countries and regions are showcasing a cornucopia of dazzling jewelry. Alongside the show are additional events, expanding the fair's foundation in its silver jubilee year.

There are heavy-weight speakers. Renowned designer Lo Kaiyin and a representative from the World Gold Council will share secrets of design. In a series of seminars, they'll also provide updates on the pearl and gold industry and on the Middle Eastern market.

Three world-class jewelry auctions are being held concurrently at the Convention & Exhibition Center. The results of the 9th Hong Kong Jewelry Design Competition will be announced during the fair - which runs till Saturday.
