China, Laos enjoy mutual trust

Top legislator, Wu Bangguo, has met with Laos' National Assembly President, Thongsing Thammavong.

During their meeting in Beijing on Monday, Wu Bangguo said China and Laos have been friendly neighbors since ancient times. The two countries enjoy mutual trust in politics. And the friendly political relations should promote cooperation in trade and the economy. China would like to cooperate with Laos in infrastructure and agriculture.

Wu said China's National People's Congress and the Lao National Assembly should continue to maintain high level exchanges, so as to promote the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Chinese Premier, Wen Jiabao, also met with the Laotian National Assembly President. Wen Jiabao said it's important to maintain the friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. And China would continue to provide assistance to Laos.
