Over 100,000 items relating to the factory's core technology were saved from this seven-floor library before the earthquake. There were also more than 12 million product designs. The earthquake severely damaged this building, completely destroying the first to the third floor.
Wang Weimin, Chief Engineer of Steam-turbine Works, said, "The value of these materials can't be judged in terms of cash. Many of them represent the world's pioneering technology. They consist of efforts from several generations. If we can't save these materials, our loss will surpass tens of billion yuan."
Amid aftershocks and the possibility of the building collapsing further, firefighters from Zhejiang province began salvaging the machines and the dossier in the library. After 20 hours' effort, almost everything had been taken out. 【已有很多网友发表了看法,点击参与讨论】【对英语不懂,点击提问】【英语论坛】【返回首页】
