UNICEF is working with the Ministry of Education and local communities to reopen schools in some of the cyclone-affected areas by next week.
Materials like roofing sheets, have already been distributed to affected schools. Essential school supplies and learning materials for primary schools have also been distributed.
UNICEF is providing what it calls a "school in a box", a kit containing supplies and materials for a teacher and up to 80 students.
The kit's aimed at ensuring children are able to continue their education in the first 72 hours after an emergency.
Meanwhile, two Puma helicopters from the United Nations World Food Program were unloaded in Bangkok on Wednesday to bolster Myanmar's relief operations.
According to the United Nations about 2.4 million people have been left in desperate need of food, shelter and medical care. 【已有很多网友发表了看法,点击参与讨论】【对英语不懂,点击提问】【英语论坛】【返回首页】
