Sino-US economic talks to open soon

China and the US will hold the fourth round of high-level economic talks on June 17th and 18th.

It was announced Wednesday that the discussions will take place at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, north of Washington DC. The new high-level talks, known as the Strategic Economic Dialogue, were launched in December 2006.

At the last meeting, held in Beijing in December, the discussions covered such issues as food safety and environmental protection.
