Chongqing Youth Choir back from Vienna
Chinese yourng people are reaching out to the world, to share their culture. They came to the home base of the world famous, Vienna Boys Choir. But the young singers from Chongqing in southwest China, were not intimidated by their appearance at Vienna's Golden Hall. The choir became the youngest musical performers from China ever to stage a concert in the world's Capital of Music.

The Chongqing Youth Choir, consisting of 38 primary school students, was greeted with warm applause in its debut at the Golden Hall of Vienna, February 29th.
The night's playbill featured a collection of original ballads, characterizing the fascinating landscapes and rich history of the southwest region of China. Among the most impressive numbers was one adapted from an ancient Chinese poem.
The 40-minute concert was punctuated by bursts of warm applause. Viewers in 25 European countries watched the performance, live on television.
Choir members attended a series of cultural exchange events. They met with the Vienna Boys Choir. The Chongqing Youth Choir, returned home Monday.
