China announces Olympic table tennis squad

The Chinese Table Tennis team has announced its final list of players who will be competing in the Beijing Olympics.

All the six players picked this time around, also represented China four years ago in Athens.

On the men's side, players include Wang Hao, Ma Lin and Wang Liqin. Wang Hao and Ma Lin are ranked World No.1 and No.2 respectively. Wang Liqin won a men's doubles gold at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

The female players are Zhang Yining, Wang Nan and Guo Yue. Zhang Yining and Guo Yue are also ranked first and second in the world respectively. Like Wang Liqin, Wang Nan is also an Olympic veteran and won gold medals in Women's singles and doubles during the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
