Qingdao opens new tourist draw

Qingdao, a lovely city by the sea, has a new cultural district standing in harmony with the grand beaches of east Shandong.

Vintage Qingdao structures grace the street of the newly opened cultural area. A huge canopy, more than half a kilometer long stands above the street, provides customers with tourist services, theatres, bars, shops, restaurants and hotels. It's the only pedestrian thoroughfare in all Shandong. The restaurants offer Shandong cuisine, one of the most popular cuisines in China.

The cultural district has been ranked as a triple A class tourist spot by the national tourist bureau.
