Children sing for Olympics

Olympic outdoor activities already are in full swing at parks and plazas in Beijing. Sunday, children from all over China performed at the plaza of the Millennium Monument, expressing their excitement.

The kids from everywhere sang in chorus, in solos and they joined in ethnic dances. All of the performances were created especially for the Games. Popular children's TV host Ju Ping acted as Master of Ceremonies. The talented kid artists offered their tribute to this year's games. And their excitement was reflected in their beaming faces and merry dancing. Some well-known young singers joined in.

If the Olympic Games are festive for Beijingers and for all Chinese people, the children especially add that unrestrained quality of youthful enthusiasm. As participants, helping to raise the Olympic spirit, it's a happy summer holiday for all these kids, one they will always remember.
