Li Xiang and director Wang Yuelun were accompanied at the premiere by major cast members including Leon Williams, Liu Ye, Deng Jiajia, Li Yu, and the duo Backdorm Boys.

The much anticipated flick intrigues fans for its screwball style. Cast members like Li Yu and the Backdorm Boys,well recognized for "over the top" performances stand out in a film that's bursting with mirth.

The Backdorm Boys set the tone by performing the film's opening theme, "Captain Pirate," with its jolly tune, and energizing lyrics.

The pair talked about their roles as a pair of eunuchs. They serve a prince at the Chinese Imperial court. Both said doing a costume play for the first time was an unforgettable experience.

Li Yu's performance in the film surprised movie fans. He plays a man from northeast China who keeps the audience in stitches with his extreme body language and slapstick antics.

Li Yu say his father, actor Li Baotian, was not really satisfied with his son's performance. But Li Yu hopes his father will come out to see him in his debut film.
