Hu Jintao holds meeting to direct relief work
General Secretary of CPC Central Committee Hu Jintao has held a meeting aimed to further search and rescue operations for quake survivors.
The meeting concluded that more efforts should be made toward resettlement and post-quake reconstruction. It also stressed quake relief is still at a crucial point. The meeting also says the central government will adhere to a "people-first" policy.
After the meeting on Monday, top legislator Wu Bangguo headed once more to the quake zone to direct the disaster relief work. Wu Bangguo visited quake victims at the General Hospital of the Chengdu Military Command. He conveyed his condolences to 4 victims who had been buried for more than 100 hours.
