Beijing Olympic ticket transfer fees high

Since June 20th, transfers of the tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games have been allowed by the authorities. Sun Jiayu finds that there are more messages posted on the Internet for tickets on offer and prices are very high.

At the Beijing Olympic opening ceremony ticket transfer center, about 1,300 ticket holders have begun to post sale messages on the Internet. The transfer tickets are all marked at the original price.

However, people found out when calling to enquire the real selling price is normally dozens times over the original price.

The Beijing Organizing Committee said the opening and closing ceremony tickets for the Olympic and Paralympic Games can be transferred one time and high priced ticket sales are illegal.

Officials warn it is more risk for the consumers who want to buy the tickets in this way.
