英美国家的人表达问候的方式与中国人不完全相同。见面时常见的问候语有good morning(上午好), good afternoon(下午好), good evening(晚上好), good night(晚安); hi和hello用于见面时的问候;How are you? 用于熟人之间的问候, 侧重询问对方的身体状况如何。
另外,英美人很尊重别人的隐私,如忌讳问别人的年龄和收入等。特别要注意的是遇见女士时,更不可随意问及年龄,否则会被认为没有礼貌。
