1.  n.  (人或物的)属性、特性、特征、品性，品质。

Eg: Politeness is an attribute of a gentleman.

彬彬有礼是绅士的本色。

2. vt. ①认为…属于，认为…是某人所有；认为…是某人创造(或所作)；认为…是…产业(to):

Eg: The play is attributed to Shakespeare . 此剧被认为是莎士比亚所作。                   

②把…归于；把…归因于，把…归咎于，把(过错的责任等)归于，诿于(to):  

Eg: She attributed his bad temper to ill health.  她把他的坏脾气归咎于健康不佳.
