英国Coldplay（酷玩乐队）在英国时间12月1日晚上8点（北京时间12月2日凌晨2点左右）在官网上发布了新歌Christmas Lights。单曲以G调形式表现，希望粉丝能过一个非常有意义的圣诞节。原本以为会是首为圣诞写的欢乐颂歌之类，没想到实际却讲述一个伤感的故事。喜欢的女孩离开了自己，走在大街上，看着节日的喜气气氛，自己的内心却无比的寒冷和寂寞。所有烦恼都会烟消云散吗？圣诞的灯火会一直点亮么？最后的转折你会有何感想。

此MTV上周在伦敦拍摄，由Mat Whitecross执导。另外，Coldplay本月将在利物浦和纽卡斯尔举行两场音乐会，是为了给Crisis慈善机构筹款以帮助英国无家可归的人。之后，将返回录音棚，为即将在2011年第一季度发布的新专辑做最后准备工作。
