Displaced people flee S. Africa violence
Countries including Mozambique and Malawi have been organizing the mass repatriation of their citizens from South Africa. The move follows xenophobic attacks that have killed more than 50 people across the country.
Mozambican Officials say some 27,500 compatriots returned home by Tuesday. But many have nowhere to go and they have become refugees in their own country. A large number have been receiving food and water at a camp near Mozambique's capital, Maputo. Many displaced immigrants are still in South Africa.
The international aid organization Medecins Sans Frontieres say the risk of respiratory infections is increasing as the weather gets colder.
