China to take action against global climate change

A senior Chinese delegation will attend next month's UN climate change conference in Bali, Indonesia. Head of the delegation Xie Zhenhua says China will take action against global climate change.

Xie Zhenhua, deputy chief of National Development & Reform Commission,said,"The main task for the vast developing countries remains poverty relief and economic development. They should actively respond to climate change at the same time as developing their economics. China will definitely take action on climate change, but under the prerequisite that China will never shoulder the same responsibilities as developed countries."
