UN: China does well on climate change

The UN says China is doing what it can to combat climate change, and the government is very aware of the challenges posed by the impact of climate change.

Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change, says China is doing a great deal in converting to using high efficiency energy. He says China has made major investments in hydro-projects in an important shift to new sources of energy, and the country has made good progress in using renewable energy sources.
