50 missing after bridge collapse
Emergency crews are continuing their search for 50 people missing after a bridge collapsed in western Nepal. 16 have been confirmed dead.
The bridge collapsed on Tuesday when around 500 people were crossing it to get to a fair. 15 bodies were found in the river while one person died on the way to hospital.
Hundreds of people have been searching along the river. Officials have reduced the number of missing people from 100 to 50.
The 120 metre-long steel footbridge was built this year. However, it was not designed to hold the weight of 500 people crossing at once. 【已有很多网友发表了看法,点击参与讨论】【对英语不懂,点击提问】【英语论坛】【返回首页】
