Parts of China experience snow
Most cities in central and south China are currently experiencing severe winter conditions with snow and plummeting temperatures. Central China's Hubei Province has had its heaviest snow in 16 years...disrupting road and air travel.
Since last Friday, over 50 cities and counties in Hubei have experienced medium to heavy snow storms with average temperatures below zero.
In the provincial capital of Wuhan, 12 centimeters of snow is disrupting traffic. The city's Tianhe International Airport was closed for more than two hours on Monday. Nearly 300 flights have been delayed since Sunday. The heavy snow also led to the temporary closure of all expressways in the province. And in the neighboring province of Hunan, dozens of state highways are closed.
