Former Indonesian President dies

Former Indonesian President Suharto has died of multi-organ failure at the age of 86.

The office of the president has announced a week of national mourning, calling for flags to be flown at half-mast.

Family members, loyalists and officials gathered by Suharto's body at his private residence to pay their respects and grieve. Earlier thousands of mourners lined the streets as his body was taken from Pertamina Hospital.
