Relief work continues in Anhui province

The ongoing snow storm, the biggest in China in 50 years, affecting 78 million people in 14 provinces across China. In Eastern China's Anhui Province, the brutal weather has affected nearly 11 million people.

The severe winter weather has disrupted transportation, threatening food supplies in Anhui. But local authorities have taken measures to stabilize supplies ahead of the Lunar New Year and food prices in parts of the province remain stable.

Meanwhile, more than 30,000 houses have collapsed in the province after several days of heavy snowfalls. In Xinzhan county, authorities are working to relocate people whose houses were damaged.
