Han Shurong, director of Dept., of Labor and Health, Ministry of Railways, said, "We have assembled 8 special hospital trains. There are more coming -- to meet the needs of transporting the injured. We'll dispatch trains according to the number of patients needing transfer. These special trains have a green light so they'll be traveling from the earthquake zone to their destinations non-stop."

One of the patients is 11-year-old Li Yue. She once was learning ballet. She lost both legs in the earthquake.

She was trapped in the debris for over 70 hours. She was rescued after the amputation.

Li Yue's mother told us her little girl is very brave.

Li Yue's mother said, "She told me she will study very hard in the future, to repay those who saved her life."

The health care workers accompanying patients on the train are from the 4th Military Medical University. Aside from necessary treatment, the doctors also give mental advice to the patients.

The first train load of patients has arrived at Xijing Hospital. Most are seriously injured.

Luckily the hospital is fully prepared and treatment plans for the patients have already been set out.

The patients were classified earlier according to their injuries. As soon as they arrived at the hospital, patients went directly to the relevant medical facilities.

Most of them were sent to orthopedics for treatment. Others were designated for the cerebral and thoracic surgery departments.
