Bush arrives for EU-US summit

U.S. President George W. Bush has arrived in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, kicking off his week-long visit to Europe.

He will attend Tuesday's annual summit between the United States and the European Union before traveling to Berlin, Rome, Paris and London.

Bush's visit, his last major European trip during his eight-year presidency, is expected to cover a range of issues, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and the Middle East.

It's generally believed there will be no major breakthroughs, as European leaders are already looking at his successor for future transatlantic ties.
