Cyrus kids choice winner

It was the best of both worlds for Miley Cyrus at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, in Los Angeles, Saturday. The actress and singer took home trophies as the favorite female singer and favorite TV actress.

Miley Cyrus rocked the Saturday show with a spirited performance of her hit song, "GNO - Girls Night Out."

It was a sublime spectacle for the Nickelodeon children's television network. The network broadcast the 21st-annual show live -- from UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. Inside the arena, 10-thousand screaming fans, most of them teens and preteens kept the atmosphere electric.

Ashlee Simpson, musician, said, "This is just a fun awards show.It's so nice to have the kids all excited and screaming and to see how much they love people. Even like watching like how kids react to the

Jonas Brothers or like Miley Cyrus, It's cute. I like that energy, so I like to be around it."

Cameron Diaz accepted a silver blimp as this year's Wannabe Award winner, as the person kids most want to emulate.

Cameron Diaz said, "I wanted to be Indiana Jones and I feel like my life, I succeeded in it. Because I think that my life is the most adventurous fun that I can get away with right now. I love that I get to be thought of as something kids want to be. If I have any influence on them, they are the future."
