BOCOG met with the IOC Executive Board on Friday to discuss preparations for the Beijing Games.
During the meeting, BOCOG promised to beef up security measures for the remainder of the torch relay around the world.
BOCOG President Liu Qi said as the Beijing Games draws nearer, it's becoming even more vital to hold regular communications with IOC.
Chairman of the IOC Coordination Commission Hein Verbruggen praised Beijing for its efforts.
Hein Verbruggen, Chairman of IOC Coordination Commission said "We have never seen any organizing committee, with all the respect of the early organizing committees, we have never seen the level of the works we have seen during those seven years."
Meanwhile, Vancouver, the host city of the 2010 Winter Games, also has grand plans for a torch relay.
John Farlong, CEO of Vancouver Organizing Committee said "It's possible we stop on the way home, it's possible but we never contemplated having an international relay."
