在交易当中，若果我们是卖方，当然希望货品能卖得较高的价钱，而买方亦希望能以最底价买入货品。有时买方会要求减价，但在经济环境好的时候，卖方当然不会轻易减价，相反，价钱还会定得偏高。这样的大开杀价，英文成语就是 Drive a hard bargain，亦是在交易时，坚持对自己最有利的价钱和条件。

Under the counter ( 台底交易 )

柜台的英文是 Counter，正常的交易中，我们会在柜台付钱，但如果那宗交易是非法的话，便不能在柜台交易，故有Under the counter 一语出现，即我们俗语所说的「台底交易」。
