Rockets defeat Pacers, 117-99

Tracy McGrady has scored 25 points to help the Houston Rockets beat the Indiana Pacers and reach a franchise-record of 16 straight wins - that's the longest winning streak in the NBA this season. Houston didn't get off to a good start, but McGrady soon put the Rockets ahead by going baseline for a slam dunk. From then on, Houston kept the lead. The Pacers tried to battle back but simply made a mess of things on offence. McGrady pulled up at the three point line and smoothly sank his second three pointer in the game, to put the Rockets up 55-40. Houston continued their domination, and the Pacers just couldn't catch up. Rockets went on to win, 117-99.

In today's other games, the Milwaukee Bucks scored a season-high 118 points to beat visiting Seattle SuperSonics. And at New York, LeBron James scored 50 points to lead the Cavaliers to a 119-105 victory over the Knicks.

Meanwhile, at Salt Lake City, the Utah Jazz trounced the Minnesota Timberwolves for their 17th straight home win. And the Memphis Grizzlies snapped a nine-game losing streak by defeating the New Jersey Nets.
